Joules Accelerator is pleased to welcome North Carolina Advanced Energy Corporation (Advanced Energy) as an addition to the Joules Accelerator board of directors. Brian Coble, Chief Operating Officer, will serve on the board on behalf of the company. Brian has been with Advanced Energy for 21 years and brings a breadth of knowledge of the organization’s capabilities and relationships.
Created in 1980 by the North Carolina Utilities Commission, Advanced Energy has served North Carolina as a nonprofit energy consulting firm with a mission to provide economic, environmental, and societal benefits through innovative and practical approaches to energy issues. Advanced Energy is excited for the partnership with Joules as they “strive to stay on the cutting edge of deployable technologies that will bring value to [their] customers in the electric utility, industrial and government sectors.”
Joules Accelerator looks forward to partnering with Advanced Energy to accelerate the decarbonization of the Carolinas through innovative, community-focused pilots. These pilots will bring together cohort startups, community stakeholders, corporate partners, utilities, and student interns to address energy and sustainability challenges throughout the state. Together, the two organizations will support the continued development and expansion of regional cleantech innovation capacity while creating new opportunities for local entrepreneurs.
